Peel & Stick vs Traditional Wallpaper

Wallpaper is always a good idea, but there are several decisions to be made that can make it a little overwhelming. You get to decide color, print, texture, and then whether or not you want traditional wallpaper or peel & stick. There are definitely pros and cons to both types of wallpaper, but depending on the space you are in we are here to help you decide what is best for you and your space.

Peel & Stick:

Peel & stick wallpaper can best be described as one big sticker. Peel & stick comes in sheets with an adhesive backing. You literally peel the backing off and stick it to your wall. This kind of wallpaper is great for renters, dorm rooms, or any space that you don’t necessarily want something as permanent as traditional wallpaper. This kind of wallpaper is easily removable and leaves no marks on the wall, which is why it is perfect for a temporary space.

Traditional Wallpaper:

Traditional wallpaper typically is a more permanent option for your space.  This kind needs an adhesive that you must soak or paste onto the wall before you apply the paper, and we normally recommend a professional installation. The pro’s of this kind of wallpaper is that it is incredibly durable and can withstand years of wear and tear. We wouldn’t recommend this kind of wallpaper for a temporary space, but a place you will be in and love for a while.
